SISTERS OF MERCY
Devoted to offering medical care through service, dignity and sacredness of life, Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care provides the communities of Western North Carolina with a much-needed alternative to expensive health care.
Through funding provided by the Catherine McAuley Mercy Foundation, Sisters of Mercy is able to provide affordable medical care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
WITH A HEART FOR HAITI
After a deadly magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti in January 2010, it is estimated that over 600,000 Haitians have been living in tents and make-shift housing, with these living conditions contributing to rampant medical maladies.
Since the earthquake, Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care has sent seven teams of volunteers to work with a Haitian clinic, Alpha and Omega, in providing medical care and assistance around the country.
